Wave Start / Corral System
The Publix Savannah Women’s Half & 5K offers a lead corral for the first 200 runners selected by race officials. Additionally, there is an informal corral structure, where participants can sort themselves in whichever corral best suits them. We ask that participants please be courteous and not start in a corral that doesn’t match their running pace so that everyone has an enjoyable experience during the race.

Making Corral Changes
The start line corral system allows for a smooth race start for participants of varying levels. Based on the estimated finish time that you provide on your race entry form, you are assigned a race number and corresponding corral, with other participants of similar running pace. Participants can freely change between corrals at the start line, except for the lead corral. Corral placement is merely for sorting purposes and is based on the honor system.
Gear Check
Before you enter your assigned corral, drop-off your pre-race/post-race clothing and belongings at the Gear Check. While you run, your gear will be held at Gear Check. Participants may pick up their Gear Check bag at the Fashion & Fitness Expo when you pick up your packet or on race day at the Gear Check tent. The Gear Check tent will be located inside Forsyth Park near the post-race party area near the solutions/packet pick-up tent. Write your bib number on your bag in the space provided on the bag before you leave it with the Gear Check crew. After the race, reclaim your checked bag at the designated Gear Check area. Please note: DO NOT leave valuables, cash or jewelry in your gear bag. The event is not responsible for any lost items. Gear bags must be claimed before close of the Finish Line Festival on race day at 12:00 PM.
Course Time Limit
Participants are given a maximum time for both the Half Marathon and the 5K. The Half Marathon must be finished in 4 hours. The 5K must be finished in 1 hour. Click here for an official pacing chart.

In the Secure Zone, you will have the opportunity to refuel with food and water as well as receive your finisher medal and participant gift. After leaving the Secure Zone, you CANNOT re-enter. Just outside of the Secure Zone, you will find the Post-Race Party area, as well as signs to point you in the direction of gear check and the family zone.
